Upland woods and forests situated within the boundaries of the National Park, an area of hills and waterfalls, spectacular views and peaceful reservoirs.

Mammals: You may see red deer in almost any of the forests in the National Park. We have information about Red deer, Badger and Otter

Birds: We have information about Nightjar, Red kite and Osprey

Insects and reptiles: We have information about Adder

Habitats: We have information about Lowland bog

How to Get There:
Situated within several counties including Powys, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taff.

What's of interest
The Forestry Commission manages a number of sites within the National Park for Conservation and Recreation. You are welcome to visit all of these woods. Please follow all signage within the forests as they are working forests and occasionally there will be forest operations taking place.
