OSPREYS AT NEST (Pandron haliaetus)The Visitor Centre is the best place to start exploring Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. This impressive building, formerly the David Marshall Lodge, was gifted to the Forestry Commission in 1960 by the Carnegie Trust and later in the 1970s an exhibition wing was added by the Forestry Commission.

Birds: The new wildlife room at The David Marshall Lodge will offer the opportunity to see the Ospreys set up their nests and rear their young again this year. Live pictures beamed from the nest can be viewed in a room similar to a field station. There will be information, hands on exhibits and a Ranger available to answer all your questions.
In addition to the Ospreys we hope to get pictures of the Buzzard, Blue Tit, Raven and Peregrine Falcon. So if you are not lucky enough to see these wonderful birds in the woods come up to the Lodge and see them on live television. We have information about Osprey
