MALE CHAFFINCH ON A CONIFER BRANCHSmall car park run by Moray Council, giving access to the east end of the wood. From the modern henge, follow the lower paths through the oak wood or walk up through the mixed conifer woods.

Birds: The mixed woodland around the car park provide good cover for a variety of small birds, including chaffinch, wren and coal tits.

How to get there:
By car - Leave the A96 at Eight-Acres Hotel, on the west side of Elgin, on to Morriston Road. Continue for approx. 1/2 mile then turn left at the road signposted 'Pet Centre' on to Brumley Brae. The car park is on the left hand side approx. 1/4 mile uphill (before the pet centre).
