Fochabers is the nearest town or village.

CAPERCAILLIE - MALEA mixed conifer woodland on the slopes of the Ordiequish Burn. A maze of old paths and tracks date back to the last century. A focal point for walks is the legendary Jean Carr Stone.

Mammals: We have information about Red squirrel, Roe deer, Badger and Otter

Birds: Capercaille lek sites in this wood. Active during the months of March and April. To keep disturbance to a minimum, please keep all dogs on the lead where our signs request it. We have information about Capercaille

Habitats: We have information about Pinewood

How to get there:
Situated south of Fochabers, between the River Spey and the A96 to Keith.
