Rosehall Forest

Rosehall has an extensive network of trails created along with the local community group, RADAG - who also constructed the magnificent log cabin in the car park. The cabin lies at the start of the walking routes.

These walks change character as the seasons turn, with burnside flowers in the spring, rich verdance in the summer, and beautiful colours in the autumn.

You will also find the Wildwood trail, an animal discovery trail created by local children.

The forest here is known as 'Deer Park' since fallow and sika deer were once kept here. The fallow have disappeared, but the sika have spread throughout the county, and can sometimes still be seen browsing in the woods.
