CORIOLUS VERSICOLOR FUNGI ON OAKA woodland that has a large percentage of remnant oaks. Much of the coniferous element has been removed close to the road allowing the oaks to regenerate and restore the unique oakwood habitat.

Mammals: A healthy otter population lives in this coastal loch and woodland. Also dwelling in the area are wild cat, badger, pine marten, pipistrelle bat and common seals. We have information about Red squirrel, Badger and Otter

Birds: We have information about Golden eagle and White-tailed eagle

Insects and reptiles: Strong populations of the nationally scarce chequered skipper butterfly are present. We have information about Pearl-bordered fritillary

Habitats: We have information about Upland oakwood

How to get there:
From Strontian head west along the single track road. Ard Airigh is well sign posted along the main road.
