A woodland that has a large percentage of remnant oaks. Much of the coniferous element has been removed close to the road allowing the oaks to regenerate and restore the unique oakwood habitat.
Mammals: A healthy otter population lives in this coastal loch and woodland. Also dwelling in the area are wild cat, badger, pine marten, pipistrelle bat and common seals. We have information about Red squirrel, Badger and Otter
