Culbokie is a small uneven aged forest of mostly Scots Pine and is a very pleasant wood for a short walk. Of interest the wood contains a loch and has also an impressive Iron Age fort that can be easily accessed from a small carpark.
Mammals: This pinewood may reward the keen sighted visitor with a chance of spotting the elusive Pine Martin. We have information about Red squirrel and Roe deer
Birds: Especially look out for the Crested Tit and Crossbill as you wander through this pine woodland. There maybe even a chance to spot Red Kite, Tawny and Barn Owl around the edges of the forest!
Habitats: Culbokie Wood has a small loch and associated wetland area.
