What's of interest
Glenmore Forest Park Campsite is also now open. Glenmore Forest was bought by the Forestry Commission in 1923, only 4 years after the FC was created. It extends to some 3,500 hectares (8,600 acres)- half of this area is woodland and half open hill. Cradled in the middle of the forest is beautiful Loch Morlich with its long sandy beach. The park attracts over 250,000 visitors each year, who come here to sample the wide range of outdoor activities on offer or simply to relax in the seclusion and grandeur of the native pinewood.
