About Dunardry

Due to windblown trees, the Dunardry cycle route and Dunardry Trail are currently closed. Please observe and use the diversion routes on the Dunardry Trail. (As at January 16th 2012)

Great place to watch the world go by

Dunardry car park and picnic site sits on a vantage point overlooking the Crinan Canal. It is a great place just to sit, relax and watch the boats passing along the canal or have a picnic.

Walking

Dunardry is the starting point for a three mile waymarked walk. Well worth it for the great panoramic views.

Cycle at Dunardry

Follow the cycle route from here which takes you through the heart of Knapdale Forest to Achnamara Village. Look out for dragonflies and goldeneye whilst cycling past Lochan Buic.

How to get there:

Dunardry is in Knapdale Forest.
From Lochgilphead, follow the A816 two miles north, then turn left on to the B841. After travelling about one and a half miles, Dunardry car park is on the left.
Cairnbaan by Lochgilphead is the nearest town or village.
