CUP AND RING MARKED STONES ACHNABRECKAchnabreack is the starting point for a short trail leading to the one of the finest set of cup and ring marked rocks in Britain. There is a small picnic area where beside the car park which looks towards the small village of Cairnbaan and the Crinan Canal.

Mammals: Red squirrels, Pine marten, Roe deer, Badgers, bats, foxes are just some of the mammals that you might see on this trail. We have information about Red squirrel and Roe deer

Birds: Buzzards, Tawny owls, Black grouse, Great spotted woodpeckers, Tree creepers to name but a few can be spotted along the trail.

How to get there:
Achnabreck is about two and a half miles north of Lochgilphead on the A816.
Turn right on to the unsurfaced forest road which will take you about 500 metres before another right turn into the car park.
