About Kilmichael Forest

Please note that due to recent storm damage all trails are closed at Kilmichael. We will notify you as soon as we can when they are to re-open. Sorry for the inconvenience (as at January 2012).

The woodland areas of Kilmichael, Otter Ferry and Kilmory Woodland Park link together to form one forest covering over 30 square miles.

There are walks and cycle trails to help you discover the forest or you can explore more of the forest on foot, by bike or on horse back.

How to get there:

Lochgilphead is the nearest town or village.

From Glasgow, follow the A82 to Tarbert then the A83 through Inverary, to Minard and Lochgilphead.

From Oban, follow the A816 to Lochgilphead then the A83 towards Minard.

Lovely area, paths pretty boggy. Be prepared!
