Wildlife at Whitehills Car park

Roe buckThis is a basic car park with an information board showing the cycle routes.

Mammals: Red squirrels and roe deer can be seen early morning at at dusk. We have information about Red squirrel and Roe deer

Birds: In the woodland look out for birds such as blue tit, coal tit, great tit, siskins, greenfinch, goldcrests and long tail tits. On the open hill look out for the occasional black grouse. Ospreys often fly overhead in the summer as they nest close to the River Don.

How to get there:
Follow the B993 out of Monymusk towards Alford. After approximately 2 miles turn right at the sign for Whitehills Cycle Trails. Follow this road for about 0.5 miles to the car park.
