A predominantly coniferous woodland situated on the crest of a hill. A promontary above a large heathland clearing offers an impressive view over the surrounding pine forests.

Birds: Skylarks regularly nest on the heathland clearing. Sparrowhawk nest sites have also been found in the mature pine.
Crossbills feed on the cones in the tops of the pine trees.

Insects and reptiles: It is uncertain whether Sand Lizards are found in Bourne Wood, although they are known to be present in neighbouring RSPB land. Adders are very common in the heathland clearing. We have information about Adder

How to get there:
Travelling south out of Farnham towards Tilford, Bourne Woods is on the right hand side approximately 2km south of the town.
