Twyford Wood Car Park

The car park and picnic area is in a small glade on the edge of the wood. Access on foot and by bike into the wood is afforded by the main track that emerges onto the former runway of the wartime airfield.

How to get there:

Twyford Wood Car Park is in Twyford Wood which is part of Kesteven Forest.
The car park is located on the A151 half a mile east of the A1, Colsterworth roundabout.
Colsterworth is the nearest town or village.

full of litter and car park is like a moon crater heavy vans and lorries use for lunch stops and leave litter. I walk every day with dog and am discusted with what I see

Excellent that FC have saved this area from housing development. Unfortunately no map of the wood or way markers, so you have no idea where you are going or where you have been. This would be very helpful to get off the vast expanses of concrete.
