Walking

At Gisburn Forest Hub explore the all ability trail that leads to a panoramic view of Stocks Reservoir and the Forest of Bowland. The forest is criss-crossed with lots of footpaths and there is a reservoir walk that starts from School Lane car park.

Gisburn Forest bike trails

Gisburn Forest has two fantastic mountain bike trails, the moderate graded Bottoms Beck for younger or novice riders and the red graded 18km "The 8" for those with a higher level of experience and skill. At Gisburn Forest hub you'll find a new Skills Loop to practice riding mountain bike trail features.

Forest Den Cafe

I'm only used to canal tow paths and easy off road paths so I found the Blue route very challenging in places but it's a fantastic forest, very picturesque and overall a very enjoyable ride.

the bike trails seem to get better every time i come here but regular maintenance is essential as i've seen a few of the routes decline in quality in the past due to weather and excessive use. The facilities have improved alot and the parking fee is reasonable considering the upkeep of the trails seems to be improving. the only thing that is stopping me giving 5 stars is the lack of free flowing routes. some of them are harder work than they should be.

Excellent trails and awesome mountain biking. Hully gully and hope line are personal favourites, trail is getting badly worn in places and can be quite hazardous in places
