Located in the North East corner of Lancashire and within the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. All year round, Gisburn Forest offers different experiences for different people. Explore on foot, on horseback, by bike. Find popular trails and quiet glades.

Enjoy a walk alongside Stocks Reservoir or up into the forest or try our two funky forest bike trails, the choice is yours.

Slaidburn, Clitheroa, Blackburn, Wigglesworth, and Skipton are the nearest towns or villages.

From Clitheroe

Follow B6478 North

From Settle

A65 south then B6478 west

From Lancaster

Minor road to Abbeystead and Newton south. At Newton B6478 north.

Went walking on the red trail in snowy conditions Jan 2012, great walk and stunning views. Had lunch at a local pub with an open fire afterwards, heaven!

Rode the Red again today. The riding was superb as usual; spiced up by some snow & ice. Saw the aftermath of a major off- someone went off at the bridge at the bottom of the dip in the fireroad just after Hully Gully. 15ft down onto the stream bed. He appeared to have no injuries

Took my partner on the blue trail (first time trail riding). Managed to cope well with trail including red sections. The blue section is gentle and easy to ride, the joint red section isn't to difficult and ok for beginners
