Forest Den Cafe

The Forest Den Cafe is closed for a little while, due to staffing problems being experienced by the cafe operator. We hope that the cafe will open again soon.

The new car park, viewpoint, trails, toilets and new Skills Loop are now fully open.

Walking 

At Gisburn Forest Hub explore the all ability trail that leads to a panoramic view of Stocks Reservoir and the Forest of Bowland. The forest is criss-crossed with lots of footpaths and there is a reservoir walk that starts from School Lane car park.

Gisburn Forest bike trails 

Gisburn Forest has two fantastic mountain bike trails, the moderate graded Bottoms Beck for younger or novice riders and the red graded 18km "The 8" for those with a higher level of experience and skill. At Gisburn Forest hub you'll find a new Skills Loop to practice riding mountain bike trail features.

been here a few times before and it's great, free parking on the bridge, lot of fun trail for novice and experienced riders. And the good thing is you don't have to be amazing at mountain biking to follow the red trail, although some experience is required.

can you tell me ,are dogs allowed in gisburn forest .

Well behaved dogs are welcome if you're walking on the footpaths or forest roads in the forest. However, dogs are not permitted on the mountain bike trails, for the safety of riders (and the dogs!)

Brilliant place, big car park at 3 for the full day is nothing, cafe only a few seconds walk off the car park, never been before and an amateur rider but managed both blue then the long red over a few hours, il be back soon!
