A pleasent car park from which the circular Machell's Coppice Walk starts.

Mammals: We have information about Red squirrel, Red deer and Roe deer

Habitats: Over 250ha of upland oakwood criss crossed by waymarked trails from which you can see Pied Fly Catchers and Red Deer. We have information about Upland oakwood

How to get there:
From Coniston follow the minor road south torwards Spark Bridge along the east side of Coniston Water. The car park is on the left half way down the lake.
