About Pen Arthur
This woodland is made up of an attractive mix of conifers and native broadleaved trees. From here you can follow the path ahead to join forest roads all the way up (3.2km/2 miles one way with 270m/900ft climb, plus 400m/1/4m mini-circuit from end of road - allow 3 hours) to a spectacular viewpoint with a mini-circuit through moorland. On one side there are great views of the Tywi Valley and on the other, views of Black Mountain.
How to get there:
Pen Arthur is part of Towy Valley Forests. Llangadog is the nearest town or village.
Unfortunately there is no public transport near to this wood. By vehicle take the scenic mountain road from Llangadog to Brynamman (A4069). The entrance is found on the right 2 miles out of Llangadog.
