About Strathyre Cabins

To take full advantage of the variety in landscape and activities that this area has to offer why not arrange to stay at Strathyre Cabins managed through Forest Holidays.

The site is located on the South shore of Loch Lubnaig and presents the perfect base for exploring the surroundings. Amenities include, fishing, bike and canoe hire, archery, walking trails and a children’s play area.

A nearby attraction is the David Marshall Lodge Visitor Centre in Aberfoyle. In 1969, the Carnegie Trust gifted this impressive building to the Forestry. The facilities offered incorporate the Bluebell Cafe, Go Ape high wire forest adventure, forest shop, wildlife viewing centre, picnic areas, toilets and a children’s play area.

The Visitor Centre also sits on the Highland Boundary Fault an area of special geological interest that was formed 390 million years ago, and divides the Lowlands from the Highlands.
