Lea Rig Kissing Gate

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Lea Rig Kissing Gate

The entrance to the forest is found on the corner of two roads, Lea Rig and Hie Dyke in the housing scheme.

There is a large kissing gate that allows pushchairs and wheelchairs through next to the vehicle barrier. Horses can gain access through the gate by contacting the office.

There are two waymarked trails, but also many other grassed paths to explore. From the main path, there are fantastic views - look out for Tinto Hill.

How to get there:

Lea Rig Kissing Gate is in West Forth Woodland.
From Lanark, take the A706 and take the first left after entering Forth. Then take the sharp first left, then the first right, and the next left to the top of Lea Rig. Look out for the gate and Forestry Commission Scotland sign.
Forth is the nearest town or village.
