About West Forth Woodland

The West Forth woodland sits on high ground about seven miles north of Lanark and offers stunning views and great walks.

It is popular with both locals and visitors for the great variety of walks, good opportunities for wildlife spotting, a beautiful wildflower meadow and the impressive views.

There are four waymarked trails, and a number of other informal trails in the area that are suitable for walking, cycling and horse riding. Contact the office for more information.

How to get there:

Forth is the nearest town or village.

West Forth Woodland spans both sides of the A706 Lanark to Linlithgow road, about seven miles north of Lanark. The woodland lies to the south of Forth Village.
