About Piet's Nest

Enjoy the stupendous views sweeping down the valley to Bonchester Hill and Ruberslaw. Take the forest road through the trees and link up with the trails.

This car park is a nice spot to stop off and enjoy your picnic.

How to get there:

Piet's Nest is in Hyndlee Forest which is part of Forests of the Scottish Borders.
From Hawick, head to Bonchester Bridge on the A6088. Turn right on to the B6357 south towards Newcastleton for approximately three and a half miles, past Hell's Hole car park and the Hyndlee forest entrance. Piet's Nest car park is on the right hand side.
Hawick and Bonchester Bridge & Newcastleton are the nearest towns or villages.

nice & peaceful! weather was red hot i camped for two nights at the picnic spot wasn't sure if i was allowed? i didn't see any signs that said i couldn't. i took all my rubbish back home with me. but i would certainly recommend to stop off for a picnic & i nice walk along the forest trail!
