About Overflow (lower) car park

Please note, due to construction of the new Go Ape adventure course, weekday diversions will be in place on trails throughout Glentress from Tuesday 29th May 2012. The following trail sections will be diverted Mon-Fri until 13th June 2012 but will remain open at weekends. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Mountain biking
The Dougie Bank Climb - affects Blue/red/black
Good Game Descent - Blue route

Walking
Partial sections of Buzzard's Nest Trail
Glen Trail - partial closures of Dougie Bank.

Diversions will be in place to direct walkers and bikers.

This car park is available to handle overflow when the other car parks in the area are at capacity.

A path connects the car park to the trail head.

All Glentress car parks have a daily charge of £3.

You can also use the the Buzzards Nest and Red Squirrel car parks.

  • From April 2011 this car park will be renamed Overflow (lower)

How to get there:

Overflow (lower) car park is in Glentress Forest which is part of Forests of the Scottish Borders.
The entrance to Glentress is one and a half miles east of Peebles on the A72. Once on forest road, follow the signs to the overflow car park, if it is open.
Peebles is the nearest town or village.
