About Weem

Subterranean Saints and Sinners

Climb a steeply winding path for a magical encounter with the rock of Weem

As you explore the forest look out for hidden figures and symbols carved into rocks and trees, and eventually arrive at St David’s well: a holy cave where St Cuthbert reputedly built a castle, and the 15th century hermit David Menzies lived after renouncing chieftanship of the Menzies clan.
