Discover more than 1000 years of heritage at Allean:

People have used this landscape for millennia.  Near the car park stands the Clachan, a partly-restored 18th century farmstead.  Even earlier are the conserved remains of an 8th century Pictish ring fort, a homestead and lookout point above Loch Tummel.

Take a walk through the mixed woodland, or for the more adventurous, why not try our permanent orienteering course?

How to get there:

Allean is in Tay Forest District.
Allean forest is situated off the B8019, approximately 6 miles west of Pitlochry and just 400 metres past the Queen’s View visitor centre. The car park has spaces for up to 30 vehicles.
Pitlochry is the nearest town or village.
