5/5)About Loch Beinn a Mheadhoin Carpark
This is a beautiful and secluded carpark on the bank of Loch Beinn a Mheadhain.
Set amongst Scots pine and birch trees, with a lovely view of the loch, it is a popular place for a picnic and some peace and quiet.

There are no waymarked walks but you can have a short walk along the lochside or up the steep track along the Allt na Imrich for stunning views.
In early summer, listen for the haunting, courtship calls of red-throated divers on the loch.

How to get there:
Loch Beinn a Mheadhoin Carpark is in Glen Affric.
From either Drumnadrochit or Beauly, take the A831 to Cannich, then the unclassified road signposted Glen Affric.
After two miles, at the Fasnakyle power station, turn right to Glen Affric. The carpark is six miles along the Affric road.
There is an infrequent bus service from Inverness as far as Cannich.
Cannich is the nearest town or village.
