Glen Affric is a very special place and has been described as 'the most beautiful glen in Scotland'. It contains one of the largest ancient Caledonian pinewoods in Scotland as well as lochs, moorland and mountains.

How to get there:

Cannich, Tomich, Struy, Balnain, Drumnadrochit, Inverness, and Beauly are the nearest towns or villages.

Glen Affric is five miles west of Cannich on the Glen Affric road, off the A831.There is an infrequent bus service from Inverness as far as Cannich.

me my family and dogs were walking last week in glen affric 10.4.2012 and were disgusted by the dogs bringing back fresh limbs of deer.and to our amazement we have not seen 1 deer where are they is there a la w about slaughtering them and cutting their limbs

Thanks for the information. To help us investigate this incident, could you be more specific regarding the location where this happened? (I'm sure that your dogs were under control at the time - as would be required or conservation reasons - but it doesn't come across that way from the way you have written your comment.)
