About Dalcrag Carpark

Dalcrag is a very secluded carpark set on the banks of the River Foyers on the south side of Loch Ness.

This area is quieter than the north side of the Loch and Dalcrag is a pleasant place for a picnic or some peace and quiet.

There are no waymarked walks here but it is possible to walk along the banks of the River Foyers for a short distance.

There is also an extensive network of walks from nearby Foyers.

How to get there:

Dalcrag Carpark is in Camus which is part of Great Glen Forest.
From Fort Augustus, take the B862. One and a half miles after passing through Whitebridge, turn left along the B852. Dalcrag is just over a mile along here.
From Inverness, take the B862 to Dores, turn right along the B852. Dalcrag is about one and a half miles after Foyers.
Fort Augustus, Foyers, and Whitebridge are the nearest towns or villages.
