A great walk if you dont have much time and are looking for a breath of fresh air in lovely surroundings.

From the car park there is a flat and wide path suitable for wheelchair users and pushchairs that takes you all the way around Penninghame pond.

Penninghame Pond is in Galloway Forest Park.
From Newton Stewart follow the A714 towards Glentrool. Look out for brown sign.

exceptional walks around KVC but beware mountain bikers, scenery to wish for,

a beautifull place,the day we went there it was very calm.the pathways are well laid out to let anyone get round.a hidden jewel in the galloway forest area
