About Loch Avich

Set along the shore of Loch Avich, this area is a quiet, tranquil place to spend an afternoon.

Enjoy the great fishing and wildlife watching opportunities.

If you feel like a long walk we suggest the Loch Avich Walk which can be started from Barnaline in Inverliever Forest. Dalavich is the nearest town or village.

How to get there:

Loch Avich is part of West Loch Awe. Dalavich and Kilmelford are the nearest towns or villages.

From Lochgilphead, follow the A816 north through Kilmartin to Kilmelford. From Kilmelford turn right on to the unclassified road opposite the hotel. Follow the road to the shores of Loch Avich - Loch Avich wood is on your left-hand side.

From Oban, follow the A816 south to Kilmelford. Turn left on to the unclassified road opposite the hotel.

From Dalavich, follow directions as above, then follow the road north to the Kilmelford junction. Turn left and follow the road to the shores of Loch Avich.
