About Beinn Lora

A mixed conifer and broadleaf wood on the steep sides of Beinn Lora, with a trail leading to the summit, providing exhilarating views over the Firth of Lorne to Mull and beyond.

How to get there:

Beinn Lora is part of Barcaldine. Benderloch and Oban is the nearest town or village.

From the south, east and west, follow the A828 towards Appin and Fort William.

From the north, follow the A828 towards Oban. Beinn Lora is situated in the village of Benderloch just off the A828.

The nearest railway station is Connel.

My husband and I have parked in this carpark and walked up Beinn Lora a few times now, and although it is a fairly steep climb through the forrest the view is well worth the effort. True you do have to hop around stepping stones through the muddy parts and sometimes just squelch through it but I do recommend this walk.
