About Arrochar and Tarbet Railway Station
The Arrochar and Tarbet Railway Station acts as an access point for a number of trails.
The station is on the West Highland Line, situated between the villages of Arrochar and Tarbet. The station opened to passengers on 7 August 1894. It was laid out with a crossing loop and an island platform - the sidings on the east side of the station are presently used for loading timber.
There is a large free car park available for walkers. Food is available at the 'Ben Lomond' restaurant nearby.
How to get there:
Arrochar and Tarbet Railway Station is in Arrochar which is part of Argyll Forest Park.
Follow the M8 through Glasgow, onto the A82 along Lochlomondside towards Tarbet. Then follow the A83 to Arrochar Village.
Arrochar is the nearest town or village.
