Very upset to see the state of the singletrack in Collingbourne today. The motor-cross bikes seem to be using the place unchallenged and have turned the whole network into a sticky mess :(

Sad and artificial. Regular rows of trees with little variation in type or age. A few very old trees have thankfully been preserved though. Quite hollow, with open meadows and "fields" of non-local trees planted for timber/Christmas trees in artificially regular rows (mono-culture), including non-local conifers. Undergrowth often "bulldozed". Meadows beyond clearly visible from main road near Cadley. The FC probably bare most of the blame. On the plus side, it is(/was) still a working wood and a deer park.

A well managed mature forest, very popular in the summer
