Arley Wood provides a quiet setting for a pleasant woodland walk in the Warwickshire countryside. The wood is part of a PAWS restoration project, which means that it will become a native broadleaf woodland once again.

How to get there:

Old Arley is the nearest town or village.

From the B4098, Follow Woodside, turn into Wood Lane. The nearest postcode is CV7 8GH

Went today and couldnt park as the only car parking had a gate locked in front of it saying Forestry Commission do not park here so i gave up and went to a field down the road!

Very eerie feel to these woods. I walked through a farm nearby which wouldn't have been out of place in Deliverance. Loads of old engines and vehicles rusting away with corrugated steel workshops. Did spot a lovely old Jag in great condition though. Nobody about but lots of sign of activity. I do have a fertive imagination. Anyway back to the woods. They were pine woods with lots of pathways so fairly easy to get lost. Very peaceful only met some local guys on the entry/exit to the woods at Old Arley.
