Dimmings Dale is an excellent starting point for either a gentle short walk or can form the start or end of bigger or series of walks to Hawksmoor, Okamoor, Farley, Alton, Threapwood and beyond. I did 11 mile the other day using various paths starting and finishing at the rambler retreat.
