They need to create some waymarked forest walks

I cycled from my house in goldthorpe on part of the transpenine trail some years ago; and ended up almost in the woods. In the past 2 years i'v explored almost the entire area mostly on foot, and sometimes on my bike. I love the place, for me it's a great alternative to the peak district, and much closer.

problems with motorbikes regually and they have no concideration for other wood users - cyclists, walkers, horse riders etc. they are making the woods/forest dangerous for the other people using it.

What's of interest

Due to felling operations the cross country cycle trail has sections that are now closed. The style and nature of the cycling provision within the woodland is currently being reviewed and plans and ideas will be formalised in due course
