About Tuxford Road Entrance

Tuxford Road Entrance is just off Tuxford Road down an access track running parallel to the old pit railway line alongside some houses.  There are sculptures along the edge of the track installed in 2007 using Building Better Communities funding. 

How to get there:

Tuxford Road Entrance is in Ollerton Pit Wood.
Ollerton Pit Woods can be accessed on foot or cycle from the Tuxford Road entrance off the A6075. There is no car park at this entrance.
Boughton is the nearest town or village.

What's of interest

The 5 sculptures along the track were created by local community groups with the help of a sculptor, Richard Janes. They were inspired by things the groups had seen at Ollerton Pit Woods.
