About Blidworth Woods

Blidworth Woods are located near the southern section of Sherwood Forest and consist of Pine woods and open heath. The undulating topography provides a good terrain for walking and horse riding. Two car parks serve the wood. Longdale Lane has a surfaced trail and refreshment cabin and Blidworth Bottoms has a horse corral and refreshment cabin at busy periods. This wood is used extensively by horse riders throughout the year so please keep your dog under control at all times.

How to get there:

Blidworth is the nearest town or village.

The woods are located west of the A614 (Nottingham to Doncaster Road).

Access is best via car or by Route 6 of the National Cycle route.

Just been to Blidworth woods for the first time. really disappointed. loads of rubbish around the woods. coffee cups, poo bags and chocolate wrappers. Not impressed !

Took my horses Helen and Amber there. It is brill for horseback riding! :)

We have only just started regular walks in Blidworth Forest. It is brilliant so many different ways to walk, so many different smells to sniff and so many nice dogs and people to meet. And the best bit is to round off the walk with a drink and dog sausage at the tea wagon

Please note this woodland plays host to car rallies throughout the year. Notices are posted regarding times and dates. Please observe all signs and marshalls. All normal access to the woodland is limited to designated spectator areas.RALLY DATE 2012 IS 9TH JUNE
