Is it permitted to take kinderling twigs from the forest floor.

Carole Ann, 22/Feb/2012

I am a regular visitor to Harwood Forest. A major attraction for me is the opportunity to observe wildlife. I greatly enjoyed watching a flock of Crossbills at Chartners today. Until recently I always saw roe deer in the forest and also saw tangible evidence, such as tracks, of their existence. Recently I have not seen any on my walks - even in places where they have always been present. I very much hope there has not been a mass cull of roe deer in Harwood forest. They are beautiful creatures. Young trees can be protected using plastic guards. Please have regard for the lives of the wild animals that share our planet with us. I would be grateful if you could comment on my email.
