About Turkey Carpet

A heathy area of conifers and broadleaves with open access and some informal parking. There are old growth pines and beeches as well as younger trees. A good starting point for walks in the surrounding area. * THERE WILL BE A HUSKY RACE IN BROXA ON THE 30TH & 31ST DECEMBER 2006. THERE WILL BE RESTRICTED ACCESS ON THESE DAYS. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE MARSHALS INSTRUCTIONS.

How to get there:

Turkey Carpet is in Broxa.
Follow the directions for Broxa Forest given in the main site. Turkey Carpet is reached by taking the minor road to Silpho. It is immediately on the right hand side of the road just past the junction.
Burniston is the nearest town or village.
