LOVELY WOOD. I WILL BE VISITING AGAIN... I ENJOYED THE HOT DRINK AND BACON BUTTY FROM THE REFRESHMENT STAND.

It is four years since we visited Stapleford Woods and it was depressing how things have changed. Litter and dog poo bags every way you turn! Litter bins and dog poo bins not to be found. Why?

I agree there is a problem with dog poo but it is minor these days. There is also a problem with litter in and around the car park. That said, it is the most tranquil and easily accessible place. I go almost everyday with my dog and often go on the other side to the main car park, no-one is ever there, it borders on to beautiful fields. I think people who expect a public woods to be like their own manicured (and probably sterile) back garden need to employ a more realistic frame mind.
