About Upperford Copse

Mature Beech trees offer the visitor a pleasant woodland walk at any time of the year. There is a stunning display of bluebells in the spring, which are well worth a visit. Click here for a map of the forest.

The nearest toilet facilities, picnic tables and a bookable BBQ are in West Walk. Please take care when crossing Heath Road.

The natural forest playground in West Walk is suitable for children and young people of all ages, it has a huge oak tree house, wooden playhouses, wigwams, sand pit, climbing wall, bridge and shingle stream.
There are several picnic areas with benches, a choice of walking trails and toilets on site.

The Great Big Food Company
is now operating in West Walk car park. Open 7 days a week March to October and open weekends November to February (9:30am - 4:30pm). They offer hot and cold drinks, ice creams, snacks, sandwiches and childrens lunch boxes Click here for more details and opening times.

There is a link from the easy access trail to the old Meon Valley Railway line for the more adventurous user who may wish to access the wood from Wickham, or explore further into the Meon Valley.

How to get there:

Upperford Copse is part of Bere. Wickham is the nearest town or village.

From the A32 Meon Valley Road, north of Wickham.
