About Havant Thicket

Havant Thicket has a thriving population of deer which may be glimpsed through the trees.  There is a variety of birds to see in the woods and neighbouring fields.  Wide grassy rides and gravelled surfaces make walking easy.  There is a good network of tracks and trails.

There is a car park on the B2149 leading to various walks and pleasant views of the surrounding fields and ponds.

Horse riding is by permit only and is informal (no marked route). Riders may use any track that they feel is suitable for the ability of their horse and themselves. Surfaces can be muddy in the winter. To apply for a riding permit please contact TROT on 01622 735599.

Havant Thicket is used for a monthly Walk for Health. The walks takes place on the second Sunday of the month, meeting at 11am in the car park. The walks last about an hour. for more information click here.
