About Soudley Ponds
Soudley ponds are a haven for wildlife and are surrounded by an impressive stand of douglas fir trees. The pondside paths are surfaced and start from both the north and south carpark. A steep walk up the ridge takes you to the Blaize Bailey viewpoint overlooking the River Severn.
Soudley fishing syndicate lease the lower pond for fly fishing, the other ponds are nature reserves.
The footbridge and causeway on the middle pond are closed until further notice, this is for investigations to be carried out on the dam structure. A circular route can still be walked but will take in a less well surfaced path near the Blaize Bailey car park.
Due to unforeseen draw down of the pond please keep children and dogs away from the area as ground conditions to the bed are likely to be very soft.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
