About Allerthorpe Wood

This is a small woodland with no waymarked trails. There is a simple road system which can be followed and many informal tracks and rides. Yorkshire Wildlife Trust lease part of the area as a nature reserve.

How to get there:

Allerthorpe Wood is in Allerthorpe Wood.
Follow minor road from Barmby Moor to Sutton on Derwent. Access is via a small carpark and gateways.
Pocklington is the nearest town or village.

Wildlife Activities Allerthorpe Common Nature Reserve is leased by the Yorkshire Wildlide Trust who manage it to maintain the outstanding area of northern lowland heath.

would be 5 stars if there was a map of the paths as it is easy to get disorientated while walking!!
