Staple Hill

(Average user rating4 unrated 4/5)

About Staple Hill

Staple Hill is your gateway to exploring this corner of the Blackdown Hills, whatever your ability.

With a choice of two easy-to-follow trails starting right here, what’s stopping you?

Please note: We advise people not to use the trails during heavy snow, due to the danger of hidden hazards and dangerously hanging branches. The car park will remain open, but will be untreated and may be extremely icy. If you chose to use the trails or car park at this time, you do so at your own risk.

How to get there:

Staple Hill is part of Blackdown Hills. Staple Fitzpaine, Corfe, and Taunton are the nearest towns or villages.

From Taunton take the B3170 through Corfe. Continue to the top of the hill, then turn left at the crossroads. The car park is signposted with a small green sign a further one and a half miles along this road.

We enjoyed our Sunday afternoon walk on Staple Common, but were surprised at the number of trees that had fallen down. Will they be cleared ?
