About Grizedale Visitor Centre

Welcome to Grizedale in the heart of the world famous Lake District National Park.

From the all access Ridding Wood trail to the demanding Silurian Way, from Go Ape to The North Face Trail, amazing sculptures to great food, Grizedale offers an unrivalled day out for everyone. Come and visit us and discover an outdoor experience you will want to come back for time and again.

Cafe in the Forest

Our fantastic new cafe must be one of the best places to eat and relax in the Lake District.

The cafe offers a variety of hot meals and salads, childrens' meals, sandwiches, soups and cakes with a wide range of teas and coffees. There is also a range of takeway snacks available from the "hatch" if you don't have time to sit down to eat and drink.

Go Ape

Go Ape! Grizedale is an award winning tree top adventure course of rope bridges, tarzan swings and zip slides. One lush green forest and a healthy dollop of breathtaking scenery; a smattering of tree-top high wires, tricky crossings and wind-in-your-face zip wires. An adventure that never fails.

You’ll enjoy two plus hours of fun, laughter and adventure at heights of up to 19m above the forest floor, all located within the beautiful surroundings of Grizedale Forest Park.

Go on, swing by and catch some tree-time.

Booking is essential, call Go Ape on 0845 643 9215 or visit Go Ape online.
