Polbrock Car Park

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Polbrock Car Park

Polbrock car park was constructed in 2007 in partnership with Westcountry Rivers Trust.

The car park is beside the River Camel and is popular with fishermen, dogwalkers and canoeists. There are steps down to the river for launching canoes, as the riverbank is protected due to a rare fern which grows there.

Just across the other side of the river is the Camel Trail, which can easily be reached via Polbrock Bridge.

Otters, kingfishers and dippers are often seen from the car park.

How to get there:

Polbrock Car Park is in Bishops Wood.
From the A389 between Bodmin and Wadebridge: at Washaway, turn off for Polbrock/Pendavey. After about 1 mile, turn left at the white fingerpost for Polbrock/Ruthern. After approx. 1000 yards, turn right at the sign for Grogley/Ruthern Bridge and cross the two bridges. You will find the car park immediately on your right.
Polbrock, Wadebridge, and Bodmin are the nearest towns or villages.
