About Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre
Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre is set within 11000 hectares of forest that are there for you to explore and enjoy. The Centre, which is run by Neath Port Talbot County Council, offers a café and shop as well as being the place to find out more about the entire Forest Park. There are walking trails, family cycling and exhilarating mountain bike trails as well as picnic areas and the new South Wales Miners' Museum is under construction and is due for opening in the Autumn 0f 2008. Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre is the trailhead for the Penhydd and the Wall mountain bike trails.
How to get there:
Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre is in Afan Forest Park which is part of Afan Forest Park. Cynonville and Neath are the nearest towns or villages.
Situated on the A4107 - follow the road from the M4, Junction 40 for about 6 miles. Look out for the signs for Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre.
