Dinas Rock
About Dinas Rock
This car park is an ideal starting point for exploring the valleys of the afon Mellte. This site is extremely popular with outdoor activities centres carrying out climbing and gorge walking so parking might be a problem for latecomers ..........Take care in waterside areas as the rivers can be dangerous. Water is often cold deep and fast flowing. The ground near waterfalls is also steep rough and slippery. Keep to footpaths to prevent unnecessary erosion.
How to get there:
Dinas Rock is in Waterfalls which is part of Brecon Beacons National Park Forests. Pontneddfechan is the nearest town or village.
Follow signs for waterfalls through Pontneddfechan village. Turn right by Inn, continue for 1km. Car park is beyond bus turn around across the river Mellte. The First Cymru Bus X5/6 travels up from Swansea on a regular basis stopping nearby. Tel 0870 6082608 for timetables.......If the car park is full - try the new car park behind the village hall (opposite side of river)
