About Hermon

Car Park in the depth of the woods. An ideal location from which to plan your own walks in the more remote areas of the Forest Park.

How to get there:

Hermon is in Coed y Brenin. Dolgellau, Porthmadog, Bala, Barmouth, and Machynlleth are the nearest towns or villages.

At Ty'n-y-Groes turn East off the A470 and cross the Afon Mawddach , follow the narrow tar road, pass one junction on the left and cross a stone bridge over the Afon Wen, pass the Glasdir car park on your right, the road bears left and uphill. At a crossroads turn left, follow this road for approx 3km to a phone box on a junction where you turn left, the car park is on your right, just before the "Cafe in the woods".
